Our grandfather, Jim Wells started the business In 1972. In Acadiana with him and his three sons -Theodore Wells -Harry wells -Jim wells jr. Around the time of 1970s there was high inflation with uneven economic growth it was very hard to grow a business. But our grandfather, Jim Wells wouldn’t give up he was a very hard worker and trained his three sons The same way. he taught his three sons that if you do good work, the good work will come. Big Jims Construction now has been in the business for 50+ years we thank him because we wouldn’t be here without him & most of all we give God all the thanks and glory.

I’ve been in construction, doing Commercial & Residential Roofing Painting & Siding my whole life I was born in 1959 in Baton Rouge Louisiana we moved to breaux bridge in the early 70s I grew up working in our industry with my father starting from installing asbestos slate roofs & wood shake shingles growing up in this Business there isn’t too many things I haven’t seen or have the experience for.
